The significance of the Tal-Wi-Wi Ranch is in its association with innovations in farming, which became
internationally recognized. Though the buildings are not outstanding examples of architecture, the property was
intentionally designed to suit its purpose (agricultural fields, agricultural buildings, housing) which still reads
today. Combined, they offer a compelling story of the site and its history. NRHP Eligible.

While initially skeptical of B eligibility, I now believe that A and/or B is appropriate as Dale Bumstead was a
significant enough person to warrant that criterion. Bumstead played a major role in agricultural development as
well as development of the Arcadia area, where his initial farm was located.
