ROLL CALL Present: Timothy Quinn, Chair Theodora Hackenberg, Vice Chair Lillian Mickey Lund, Commissioner Larry Rovey, Commissioner Absent: Elaine Gomez, Commissioner * arrived after both votes. John Kazmerski, Recording Secretary 3. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES a. Historic Preservation Commission Minutes of October 19, 2023. Motioned by Commissioner Larry Rovey, seconded by Chair Timothy Quinn the commission voted to approve the October 19, 2023 minutes with corrections stated by Ms. Hackenberg. AYE: Chair Timothy Quinn Vice Chair Theodora Hackenberg Commissioner Lillian Mickey Lund Commissioner Larry Rovey Other: Commissioner * arrived after both votes. Elaine Gomez (ABSENT) Commissioner Willow Taylor (ABSENT) Passed 4. WITHDRAWALS AND CONTINUANCES * 5. DISCUSSION ITEMS a. Preview of the Historic Preservation Video. Michael Harris, Media Production Specialist, presented the Historic Preservation Video. b. Heart of Glendale Plaque Update. Alex Lerma, Sr. Planner, updated the commissioners on the Heart of Glendale Plaque project. c. Discussion and Action of the 2024/2025 Tour* The board voted to create a subcommittee to work on the 2024/2025 Tour. STAFF REPORT a. Updated Historic Commission Books to reflect the adoption of the Unified Development Code. 9. COMMISSION COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS The commissioners discussed their interest in being updated on the progress and plans for the Murphy Park/City Hall renovations. 10. NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission is scheduled for September 26, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., in the Boardroom, located at Glendale Civic Center, 5750 W. Glenn Drive, Glendale, Arizona, 85301. 11. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Quinn Adjourned the meeting at 4:36 pm.
