The cost associated with the transfer of the property is Two Million One Hundred-Fifty Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars ($2,150,253.00) and shall be paid by Maricopa County to City of Glendale. This action takes place in Supervisory District 4. Additional Information: December 26, 2008, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approved an intergovernmental agreement (the “2008 IGA”) between County and the cities of El Mirage, Glendale, and Peoria (the “Project Partners”) for improvements to Northern Parkway from State Route 303 to U.S. 60 (the “Northern Parkway Project”). City purchased the property to be used as right-of-way for the Northern Parkway Project using local funds. Glendale now desires to transfer the property to County and County now desires to accept the transfer of the Property for one or more public purpose, including, but not limited to, providing the needed right-of-way for the Northern Parkway Project and a County-operated animal shelter.
