9. Please provide a detailed description of the initiative, including the public benefit, areas 
served, and population served (please attach separate page if more space is needed):
The Arizona Jewish Historical Society (Society) is in the process of constructing the 
Arizona Holocaust Education Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The new center will 
educate students and the public about the Holocaust through local survivor stories, 
artifacts, immersive media experience and programs. This contract will provide 
$2,000,000 to subsidize the cost of admission for 120,000 public school students in 
Maricopa County.

sustain the initiative after CSF have been spent:

should include the account level detail for uses and estimated timeline. The budget 
proposal should be broken out by year for multi-year projects.

expenditures associated with public funds, including ensuring that each purchase is a necessary 
and prudent expenditures of public funds.
By signing this proposal, Administering Authority acknowledges that all expenditures must 
comply with the applicable County policies (including but not limited to Code of Conduct, 
Acceptable Use of County Purchasing Card, Procurement Code, Community Outreach, and Travel 
Policy as applicable). In addition, the expenditures must not violate any existing federal, state, or 
local laws, including Conflict of Interest laws (A.R.S. §38-501 through 38-511).
By signing this proposal, Administering Authority agrees to comply with all requirements as 
stated in the Community Solutions Funding policy (A1125).

proposal, including attachments, is accurate and complete.
