Page 1 of 2 RESOLUTION NO. 44-24 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, ARIZONA, APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN MARICOPA COUNTY AND THE CITY OF BUCKEYE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WELCOME SIGNAGE IN COUNTY RIGHT OF WAY; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER SAID AGREEMENT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE. WHEREAS, the City of Buckeye (the “City”) is authorized pursuant to Ariz. Rev. Stat. §§ 9-240 and 9-276 to lay out and establish, regulate and improve streets within the City and, pursuant to Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 11-951, enter into Intergovernmental Agreements for the provision of services or for joint or cooperative action; and WHEREAS, the City has requested permission from Maricopa County (“County”) to erect welcome signate in multiple locations in County Right-of-Way; and WHEREAS, the City and the County desire to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement related to the Welcome Signage. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUCKEYE, ARIZONA, as follows: Section 1. The recitals above are hereby incorporated as if fully set forth herein. Section 2. The Intergovernmental Agreement between the City and the County related to Installation of Welcome Signage in County Right of Way (the “IGA”) is hereby approved in substantially the form and substance on file with the City Clerk. Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the IGA on behalf of the City. / / / / / / Page 2 of 2 Section 4. The Mayor, the City Manager, the City Clerk, and the City Attorney are hereby authorized and directed to execute all documents and other necessary or desirable instruments and to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of this Resolution.
