Supervisor Gallardo thanked the legal team for representing the Board on this item. He
stated that for as long as he has been a Supervisor, Elections have always been
conducted according to the Arizona Revised Statutes and the Arizona Constitution and
the Board has followed those laws. Supervisor Gallardo said that if there are people
who want the elections to be run differently, those people need to focus on changing
the laws rather that initiate lawsuits that undermine the Election process. He said the
individual who initiated this lawsuit is in the Legislature and could work on changing the
existing laws related to elections. Supervisor Gallardo said he does not support this
action.
