PROGRAM
FY2020
AT A GLANCE
The department initiated
revisions to Maricopa
County Trip Reduction
Ordinance P-7. The
department held two
stakeholder meetings
and announced the Notice
of Ordinance Making. The
revision is anticipated to be
approved November 2020.
On March 20, 2020, TRP
implemented a variance to
reduce the burden on
businesses during the Novel
Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19)
pandemic. The variance
allowed employers to
postpone completing annual
surveys, submitting travel
reduction plans, and
implementing plan measures.
TRP has become a
paperless work
environment.
Employers are
transitioning from
paper surveys to the
electronic internet
version. This conversion
will substantially
reduce paper waste
and lower expenditures.
