AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT 
FOR SERVICES BETWEEN 
MARICOPA COUNTY 
ADMINISTERED BY ITS  
HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT 
AND 
THE TOWN OF WICKENBURG 
 
 
I. 
Maricopa County (“County”), administered by its Human Services Department, entered 
into a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) with the Town of Wickenburg 
(“Subrecipient”), which was fully executed on or about August 19, 2020. The Agreement 
term began on September 1, 2020, and ends on September 1, 2022. The purpose of the 
Agreement is for the County to provide the Subrecipient with funding to replace 1,400 
linear feet of water main, along with three fire hydrants and 30 existing service 
connections. Ancillary to the water main replacement, the Subrecipient shall replace 
approximately 1,950 square feet of curb and ADA ramps at 13 intersection locations, 150 
linear feet of vertical curb, 300 square feet of valley gutter, 800 square feet of sidewalks, 
700 square feet of driveway, and 6,100 square feet of road pavement. The County has 
provided the Subrecipient with $534,721 in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban 
Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. The County 
and the Subrecipient collectively are referred to as the “Parties.”  
 
II. 
The Parties agree to amend the Agreement by this Amendment No. 1 as follows:  
 
A. 
Increase the HUD-CDBG funding by $59,414 from $534,721 to a not-to-exceed 
amount of $594,135.  
 
B. 
Revise Section 4 (Budget and Compensation), Paragraph 1.0 (Budget), by replacing 
it with the following:

III. 
The Agreement is amended to incorporate the changes contained in this Amendment No. 
1. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged and in full force 
and effect as executed by the Parties.  
 
IV. 
The Parties have authorized the undersigned to execute this Amendment No. 1, and it shall 
be effective upon approval and signature by both Parties.
