Effective July 3, 2015, revised legislation requires that “Racketeering monies received by cities, town and counties are to be reported quarterly to its City Council (cities and towns) or Board of Supervisors (counties) in a form prescribed and approved by ACJS and the Joint Legislative Budget Committee.” The El Mirage Police Department prepares a Forfeitures Monies Quarterly Report providing details of its individual agency activities the month following the end of each quarter. On October 12, 2020, the report was sent to Christina Roberts, RICO Administrator, at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO). MCAO then provides a consolidated report to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission. In addition, the report was sent to the City of El Mirage City Manager, Mayor, and City Council as required by SB1170, Ch. 40. Attached, for your information, is the RICO Forfeiture Monies First Quarter Report, July 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020. Activity for this quarter include two (2) deposits, 1 of which came with a small amount of interest. Our Federal Funds reflect no activity for this Quarter.
