IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF MARICOPA IN THE MATTER OF APPOINTMENT OF A COURT COMMISSIONER ) ) ) ) ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 2020-133 Pursuant to the Constitution of the State of Arizona, Art. 6, Sec. 24, A.R.S. §12- 213, as amended, and Rule 96 of the Rules of the Arizona Supreme Court (RASC), IT IS ORDERED that Brian J. Palmer, is hereby appointed as a Court Commissioner of the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County, effective September 28, 2020, on a full-time basis, with the working title of “Commissioner.” Brian J. Palmer shall serve one uninterrupted term of service, until retirement, resignation or termination. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Brian J. Palmer shall have all such powers and duties pursuant to law which shall include, but not be limited to, those powers and duties prescribed by A.R.S. §12-213, as amended, and Rule 96, RASC, as amended. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Brian J. Palmer is assigned to hear any matter within the purview of this appointment pursuant to law. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Brian J. Palmer shall receive compensation at an annual salary of ninety percent of the salary of a judge of the Superior Court, which currently calculates to $134,444.34, pro-rated for the balance of calendar year 2020. This appointment is conditioned upon the agreement to serve only for the compensation received as a Court Commissioner while employed as a Commissioner by the Court, and to receive no additional compensation or benefit, fiscal or otherwise, when acting in the capacity of a Judge Pro Tempore.
