Summary from the owner’s representative
Ball Metal Beverage Container Corporation Inc. (Ball Metal) will be operating this facility in support of the 
RRB Beverage/Rauch operation which is currently approved as Site 15 within FTZ No. 277.  RRB Beverage 
Operations Inc.’s Foreign Trade Zone designation “non-objection” letter was approved June 26, 2019 (C-
94-19-013-M-00).  Ball Metal is requesting transfer of the 34.79 acres currently leased from RRB Beverage 
Operations for their new support facility.  Ball Metal will use this location to manufacture beverage 
containers that will be transferred to the RRB Beverage/Rauch’s new production facility for bottling.  In 
addition, Ball Metal will create an FTZ Subzone, combining their currently designated FTZ operation in 
Goodyear, AZ (Location 1) and the new 34.79 acres transferred from RRB (Location 2) as a Subzone. A 
Subzone is a group of FTZ sites established for a specific use. 
Ball Metal Beverage Container Corporation Inc. plans on investing approximately $310 million for land, 
building and equipment at this site.  It is estimated that approximately $76 million will be for the land and 
building and approximately $133 million in personal property owned by Ball Metal at the facility, totaling 
$209 million. An additional $101 million in leased equipment will also be incorporated within the facility.
They plan on hiring 170 positions with an average wage above $60,000 per year. Operations are scheduled 
to begin in the first quarter of 2021.

$2.4 million in tax revenue to Maricopa County over the next ten years.

for a total of $133.4 million over the next ten years.

Property Tax Impact 

Property taxes collected for the parcel currently is approximately $865.98, annually for Maricopa 
County’s portion.  When the project is completed, property taxes will grow to approximately 
$111,634 annually for Maricopa County’s portion.  The taxes assume FTZ designation.
