Missouri Avenue, Suite A Phoenix, AZ 85014 Re: Glendale Deannexation (Ordinance No. 020-31) / EI Mirage Annexation (Ordinance No. 020-06-03 & Resolution No. R20-06-10) Dear Property Owner, This letter is to notify you that a public hearing before the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors will be held for the proposed deannexation of 6.369 acres of territory located West of the Northwest corner of the interchange of Dysart Road and Northern Parkway from the City of Glendale (Ordinance No. 020-31) and annexed to the City of El Mirage (Ordinance No. O20-06- 03 & Resolution No. R20-06-10), is scheduled to be held: DATE: Wednesday, August 19, 2020 TIME: 9:30AM PLACE: Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Auditorium 205 W. Jefferson Phoenix, AZ 85003 Pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-471.02: (D) the Board of Supervisors shall set a hearing date of not less than thirty nor more than sixty days from the date of the filing of the ordinances; (E) the City of Glendale shall notify by letter the owner of any real property in the territory to be deannexed at least twenty days before the hearing. The area is to be deannexed and annexed to the City of El Mirage and that the property shall continue to be subject to any tax lawfully assessed against it for the purpose of paying any indebtedness lawfully contracted by the governing body of the City of Glendale while the property was within the corporate limits. The property owner may protest the action by letter to the Board of Supervisors before the hearing or in person at the hearing; (F) on the holding of the public hearing the Board of Supervisors shall order that the territory be deannexed from the City of Glendale and that the same territory be annexed to City of El Mirage as specified in the two ordinances filed.
