Hello,

It was recently brought to my attention that a Semi truck drop and exchange is to be built on
Camelback road, in Litchfield Park, at the current location of the Falcon golf course. This is
directly across the street from my home, and it was not brought to my or my neighbors
attention. Apparently, this has been in the works since December, 2016; a year before I bought
my home. If we would have been aware of this, we would not have bought in this location.
This will plummet the value of our homes in this area.

We did not plan on purchasing a home in an industrial area. When we purchased, it was
because of the Air Force base and the golf course directly across the street from us. Hearing
the sound of jets is the sound of freedom, and something I have heard for 24 years in the Air
Force; but hearing semi motors day and night is not something I am ready to be

accustomed to! The traffic is already horrendous on Camelback road, especially trying to go
west from 152 avenue in the afternoon.

Also, many people love the availability of the golf course and the value it offers for those of us
that cannot afford some of the more luxury courses.

Please reconsider allowing this facility in this location. There is ample land available and more
convenient for this type of facility west of this location, near the 303 highway.

| hope you and your families are healthy and safe.

| whole heartedly agree with the points made in the letter from the Office of City Manager; Litchfield
Park dated February 24, 2020 to Jennifer Pokorski, Director of the Maricopa Country Planning and
Development Department.

Additionally, | feel that the proposed location for this project will prove to be a danger to the
neighborhoods in close proximity to the Falcon Dunes golf course. We have already experienced a
pedestrian fatality by the entrance to the Mattamy housing development. The increased truck traffic
caused by the proposed facility will only exacerbate the danger to school aged children. The
increased pollution caused by diesel exhaust products will also endanger the neighborhood children
and the elderly residents of Litchfield Park.

The Loop 303 with its industrial and warehouse properties would be a better choice in my opinion.
To think that the proposed location does not affect the residential properties in close proximity,
simply because a 300 foot notification rule produced little push back is to dismiss the obvious effects
this project will create for our citizens.

| encourage you to do the right thing and relocate this facility to a site that is people
friendly.

I ama current resident of Litchfield Park and recently became aware of proposed development
project that will adversely affect my community. This site is inappropriate to support a Cross
Dock Facility. We learned about this project by accident. This is unacceptable as

commuities within 1 mile of this location should've been notified of the public hearing as this
will result in increased traffic by heavy vehicles that will destroy our roads and create
environmental issues. I'm pretty certain that no one in my community would've approved this

Commission has scheduled a hearing on April 23, 2020, and the
Maricopa County Board of Supervisors will have its hearing on
May 6, 2020.

The proposed industrial facility would be adjacent to residential
areas within the City of Goodyear, and within a quarter mile of
residential areas in the City of Litchfield Park. The Traffic Impact
‘Study prepared by the United CMI Group for the proposed
facility indicates nearly 4000 additional vehicle trips per day will
be added to Camelback Road when construction is completed.
Most will be large semi-trucks. The westbound portion of
Camelback Road in that area leads to Arizona State Route 303,
but is an under-developed, narrow road and thus unable to
absorb the additional traffic from the proposed facility.
Consequently, the additional traffic would largely have to be
routed eastbound through residential areas. The pollution, noise
and additional traffic congestion would negatively impact the
quality of life of residents in many ways. It would also create
dangers for residents--especially pedestrians and bicyclists
since there are not even sidewalks in some areas.

In light of these concerns, we request the Maricopa County
Planning & Development Department to deny the proposed KW
Cross Dock Facility.

It is my understanding Maricopa County supervisors will soon vote on construction of a truck terminal, possibly Fed
Ex, on the Falcon Golf Course property. Please be sensitive to the amount of traffic already traveling the two lane
road everyday at the present time. It is very difficult to even turn right onto camelback from the north gate of
Litchfield Greens during daylight hours. Traffic begins at 4:30 am.

I grew up here also Clint. The changes are quite phenomenal over 74 year span. The population of Litchfield Park
was 200 when i was young Most of the changes are simply progress and acceptable and many exciting to watch.
This is not acceptable. We have heard a horrific number in the thousands of trucks daily are possible. The thought
of even 100 more trucks working their way through Litchfield toward the 101 is problematic. The intersection of
Litchfield Road and Camelback Road is already very very busy. We are, in all honesty a village. This would be
overwhelming to us.

A positive vote will impact many people unfavorably and most likely be something that would impact you
negatively in the future. In my opinion a location closer to the 303 would be far more sensible area for a large truck
terminal.

Thank you for your service to the county. It has many facets and takes a lot of effort | am sure.

| am writing to express my concern with the proposed cross dock trucking facility that apparently has
been proposed for the Falcon Golf Course adjacent to Litchfield Park. Such a facility with the large
number of trucks accessing it on a daily basis would have a significant and detrimental impact on
Litchfield Park. | have been a resident here for 40 years. This community has been and continues to
be basically a residential community. The proposed facility would have a major negative impact on
the basic nature of the community, the traffic volume and safety on the major roads and, due to the
increased traffic noise and volume, a negative impact on the property values of the residences.

The proposed location is not closely adjacent to the either Loop 303 or Loop 101. Another location
would therefore be more suited for such a facility and have less impact on the residents at the same
time.

| encourage you to not approve the proposed facility at the Falcon Golf Course.

Good afternoon,

| am a resident of Litchfield Park and my house and backyard run along the south side of Camelback Rd
(4984 N. Solana Circle, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340). | became aware that there is a proposed change to
Falcon Dunes Golf Course to allow for a Semi-Truck Drop off and Exchange, adding 4,000 vehicles to
Camelback Road. As it is already, my family and | are often startled when sitting outside in our backyard
when large semi-trucks drive by, using air brakes loudly, honking at cars at all hours (where | live is right
where Camelback Rd. Eastbound goes from 2 lanes to 1), and semi-trucks are frequently either waiting
until the last minute to merge in or honking at cars that wait to merge in. We have a short wall, only feet
from Camelback, which does not block any of the noise. | can't even imagine how loud it will become,
adding that many more semi-trucks to Camelback Rd. It is already a disaster in the morning and
afternoon when people that work at Luke Air Force base are coming/leaving work, backed up at the 4-
way stop sign at Camelback and Sarival. Often during rush hour in the afternoon, the traffic on
Camelback headed westbound backs up from Sarival back to our neighborhood, making Camelback Rd a
nightmare.

| would request that this proposed project not be allowed - it is more appropriate along the 303 in the
industrial area, not close to residential neighborhoods.

If the project moves forward, | would ask that the semi-trucks be forced to drive west to the 303 and,
knowing that many semi-trucks would not even comply with that, forced to pay for improvements to
Camelback Road (to include making it 2 lanes in both directions between the 303 and Litchfield Rd,
putting in a stoplight at Camelback and Sarival, and making community wall improvements for the Village
of Litchfield Park that runs along Camelback to raise the wall and soundproof it.)

Gentlemen,

This email is my protest of the construction of that facility in that location. My neighbors who
have been here as long or longer than I, have witnessed the slow erosion of our quality of life
here in Litchfield Park. Everything from increased traffic to horrific multiple traffic accidents
with fatalities on the corner of Camelback and Litchfield Road as well as along Litchfield
Road down to Indian School, to increased noise pollution which now starts at 4:30 in the
morning with commuter traffic, and overcrowded schools. Most of us didn't move here for
that lifestyle.

Why in the world would you consider allowing such a facility to be built in such close
proximity to family communities, when there are so many other options located elsewhere that
would not impact people's quality of life? I suppose, like everything else, it's about money.

| am writing this letter in opposition of the KW Cross Dock Facility that has been proposed for the
Falcon Golf Course. My husband and purposely bought in this neighborhood because it was a
neighborhood and not an industrial area. We believe that the semi traffic going through our
neighborhood will ruin the quality of life that we have come to appreciate. In addition, large semi
traffic will impact the health and safety of our family. Please know that my husband and |
vehemently oppose this facility and will do whatever it takes to ensure that it is not placed in our
community neighborhood. All of us living here purchased our property knowing Luke Air Force Base
existed and we support our nations military. We do not support the noise and pollution an
industrial!

Please don’t allow this big ugly building being built by our neighborhood. We have all this
empty land next to the 303 just for something like this building. Why would you want to put
industrial building in the middle of a neighborhood. Please have mercy on us. Thank you Scott
