In order to vote in this election, a qualified elector must own real property located within the District's taxable boundaries at least ninety (90) days prior to the election. San Tan Valley, AZ 85140 Phone (480) 987-3461 Fax (480) 987-0660 NOTICE OF ELECTION NEW MAGMA IRRIGATION & DRAINAGE DISTRICT The Board of Directors of New Magma Irrigation & Drainage District does hereby give notice that it will hold an election to fill the expiring terms of two directors. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 Ballots will be mailed to each landowner of record no earlier than October 15, 2020, and no later than October 30, 2020. The deadline for physical return of the ballot is 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Ballots must be postmarked no later than November 6, 2020 and received by the District on November 10, 2020, in order to be counted. The location to return the ballots is the District office at 34630 North Schnepf Road, San Tan Valley, Arizona 85140. You may obtain a replacement ballot if a ballot is destroyed, lost, spoiled or not received by the District by presenting yourself at the District office and making an affidavit that the ballot has been destroyed, lost, spoiled or not received, and you will be given a new ballot. This must be done no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. To be an elector at this election, you must have been a property owner for at least ninety (90) days prior to the election (August 12, 2020), and you must be over 18 years of age and a resident of the United States. If the land is held in the name of a corporation, a partnership, or a limited liability company, those entities must designate in writing the officer or partner who is authorized to cast the vote of the entity owning the land, and that designation must be submitted to the District by October 12, 2020. If the land is held in trust, the District must be notified of the name of the trustee by October 12, 2020. DATED this 12th day of May 2020.
