Jefferson, 10th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Bill Gates, Chairman, District 3; Clint Hickman, Vice Chairman, District 4; Jack Sellers, District 1; Steve Chucri, District 2; Steve Gallardo, District 5. Also present: Fran McCarroll, Clerk of the Board; Maria Ceaglske, Minutes Coordinator; Joy Rich, County Manager; and Andrea Cummings, Legal Counsel. ACTION 1. ADOPTION OF THE MARICOPA COUNTY FY 2020 BUDGET The Budget Office in coordination with the County Manager recommends to the Board of Supervisors the following: 1)Adopt the FY 2020 Maricopa County Budget in the amount of $2,573,762,798, by total appropriation for each department, fund and appropriation unit group listed in the attached schedules. This amount represents no change from the Tentative Budget of $2,573,762,798. 2)Adopt the Five Year Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Years 2020-2024. 3)Approve the attached Executive Summary. MEETING RECONVENED Chairman Gates reconvened the meeting of the Board of Supervisors. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vote to convene in Executive Session to consider the items on the Executive Agenda dated June 24, 2019, for Board of Supervisors and relevant Special Districts pursuant to the statutory authority listed for each item. Jefferson, 10th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Bill Gates, Chairman, District 3; Clint Hickman, Vice Chairman, District 4; Jack Sellers, District 1; Steve Chucri, District 2; Steve Gallardo, District 5. ADOPTION OF THE COUNTY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS FY 2020 BUDGETS Adopt the Fiscal Year 2020 Budgets for the County Improvement Districts per the FY 2020 Budget Schedules entitled “Direct Assessment Special Districts” and “Street Lighting Improvement Districts.” See ARS 48-954 and 42-17105 (C-49-19-044-M-00) Additional information regarding County Improvements is found on the following pages. This amount represents no change from the FY 2020 Tentative Budget of $123,171,290. Chairman Gates noted the County is moving into monsoon season. There is great confidence in the work of Flood Control District and he is hopeful for nice steady rains over the next couple of months. Seconded by Director Gallardo. He commented on the number of projects in the tentative process. He noted the importance in working in conjunction with municipalities county-wide. He is hopeful that the monsoons do not affect the tentative projects.
