On May 7, 2019 I was issued check #88921 in the amount of $521.30 for a tax lien certificate which had been redeemed. The check was made out to Roger A. Flores, 7115 Sutherland Way, Elk Grove, CA, 95758. On May 6, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. I went to my bank to deposit the check. The teller informed me the check could not be deposited because the payee had placed a stop payment on the check. I called the Maricopa Treasurer's office to report the problem but Mr. Arthur Mora wasn't available until the following Monday. I left a message. I did not hear from Mr. Mora and called on May 15, 2020 and left another message. On May 18, 2020 I received an email from Mr. Mora giving directions to email your office to request an reissuance of the check. I had been delayed in going to my bank to deposit checks because of the Covid-19 'stay at home' order in place here in California since March of 2020. May 6, 2020 was the first opportunity to get to my bank. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
