P a g e 1 | 2 RESOLUTION Maricopa County Board of Supervisors RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVALS BY THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT BETWEEN MARCH 1, 2020 AND JULY 1, 2020 FOR PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION PERMIT APPLICATIONS IN UNINCORPORATED MARICOPA COUNTY BE IT RESOLVED by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors as follows: WHEREAS, to combat COVID-19, on March 17, 2020, following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Arizona Department of Health Services issued guidance that included preventing gatherings of 10 or more people; and with Executive Order 2020-18 the Governor of the State of Arizona stated that at the recommendation of the state’s health officials, the State of Arizona must continue its efforts by further limiting potential exposure through a policy of social distancing while maintaining social connectedness; and, WHEREAS, with Executive Order 2020-12 the Governor of the State of Arizona identified planning and development and construction permitting as essential services necessary to promote the public health, safety and welfare; and, WHEREAS, Maricopa County is committed to full compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations and enforcement of such as may be required; and, WHEREAS, Maricopa County is further committed to protecting development rights and providing regulatory relief to residents and businesses during this unprecedented time in order to support economic stability, recovery and growth. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors directs the following: Any condition of approval by: a. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, b. The Maricopa County Planning and Zoning Commission, c. The Maricopa County Board of Adjustment, or d. The Maricopa County Planning and Development Department /r 20 20 Date Approved as to Form: eputy County Attorney that established or establishes a deadline or other timeframe with a critical date between March 1, 2020 and July 1, 2020, that said date IS HEREBY extended for 120 days from the date of adoption of this resolution at no cost to the applicant or property owner.
