Emergency Operations Plan Maricopa County, Arizona Emergency Operations Plan Letter of Promulgation In the event of natural, technological or national security disaster affecting the unincorporated portions of Maricopa County, county government must be prepared to implement plans and procedures to protect lives and property. In addition, county government must be prepared to provide support to municipal governments affected by disaster conditions. This plan is published in support of the State of Arizona Emergency Response and Recovery Plan. It supersedes the Maricopa County Emergency Operations Plan dated January 2017. It is in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes, Title 26, Chapter 2 and the Maricopa County Emergency Resolution of 2011. The purpose of this plan is to provide direction and guidance to Maricopa County governmental departments and supporting agencies. It provides guidance to assist county departments in preparing for and executing assigned emergency tasks to ensure maximum survival of the population and property in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. This plan is effective for planning purposes and preparations on receipt.
