RESOLUTION
ROAD DECLARED (ROAD FILE NO. A677)

WHEREAS, A.R.S. § 28-6701 authorizes the Board to establish County highways;
WHEREAS, A.R.S. § 28-6705(A) authorizes the Board to spend public monies for the
maintenance of public roads and streets other than legally designated state and county
highways located without the limits of an incorporated city or town;
WHEREAS, in accordance with A.R.S. § 28-6705(A), the following public roads and
streets have been laid out, opened, constructed and completed at no cost to the County in
accordance with the County’s standard engineering road specifications and have been found
acceptable to the county, said roads legally described as follows:
Legal description identified as Exhibit "A", is attached.
WHEREAS, A.R.S. § 11-822(C) authorizes and directs the Board to accept such streets
and roads into the County maintenance system;
WHEREAS, the Board believes that accepting into the County maintenance system the
public streets and roads more fully set forth hereinabove is in the County’s best interests;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the public streets and roads more fully set
forth hereinabove are hereby established, opened and declared a county highway, and the
County Engineer is hereby directed to make a plat of the survey of said highway and cause the
same to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of Maricopa County as provided by law.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board accept any right-of-way or property donated
to the State or County for said highway. The Board hereby accepts all U. S. Patent easement
reservations, right-of-way or properties along this alignment into the Department of
Transportation’s Highway system.
