AMENDMENT NO. 1TO THE 
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT 
FOR SERVICES BETWEEN 
MARICOPA COUNTY 
ADMINISTERED BY ITS HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT 
AND 
THE TOWN OF GILA BEND 
 
 
I. 
Maricopa County (“County”), administered by its Human Services Department, entered into 
a financial Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) with the Town of Gila Bend 
(“Subrecipient”) on or about October 14, 2019. The purpose of the Agreement is for the 
Subrecipient to replace approximately 361 linear feet of asphalt on Euclid Avenue, from 
Pima Street to Papago Street, in the Town of Gila Bend. The County has provided the 
Subrecipient with $121,296 in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The Agreement term began on 
November 1, 2019, and ends on November 1, 2021. The County and the Subrecipient 
collectively are referred to as the “Parties.” 
 
II. 
The Parties agree to amend the Agreement by this Amendment No. 1 as follows:  
 
A. 
Revise Section III (Work Statement), Paragraph 2.0 (Scope of Work), Subparagraph 
2.1 as follows: 
Project Description: The Subrecipient shall reconstruct approximately 780 linear feet 
of Euclid Avenue, from Pima Street to W. Renner Street in Gila Bend, AZ, including 
the new installation of ADA-compliant sidewalks. The engineering design and 
installation of the work shall meet MAG Standards and locally adopted codes. 
 
B. 
Increase the total Agreement funding amount from $121,296 to $264,916, an 
increase of $143,620 for the Agreement term, and revise Section IV (Budget and 
Compensation) Paragraph 1.0 (Budget) as follows:

C. 
Revise Section IV (Budget and Compensation), Paragraph 5.0 (Reimbursement) as 
follows: 
 
The County shall provide an amount not-to-exceed Two Hundred Sixty-Four 
Thousand Nine Hundred Sixteen dollars ($264,916) subject to the terms of this 
Agreement and availability of funds. This Agreement price constitutes the County’s 
entire participation and obligation in the performance and completion of all work to 
be performed under this Agreement.

III. 
The Agreement is amended to incorporate the changes contained in this Amendment No. 
1. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged and in full force 
and effect as executed by the Parties.
