RESOLUTION IGA FOR CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT.PDF

MARICOPA COUNTY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE 
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE AN IGA AMONG MARICOPA 
COUNTY, CITY OF CHANDLER AND THE CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL 
DISTRICT NO. 80 
RESOLUTION C-44-20-046-M-00 
WHEREAS, Arizona Revised Statutes §§ 11-951 through 11-954 authorize the County 
to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA); and 
WHEREAS, the Chandler Unified School District No. 80 (District) has acquired 
approximately 72.9 acres of undeveloped property located generally at 22651 
S. Gilbert Road in Chandler, and identified as parcels 304-74-015A, 304-74- 
014B, and 304-74-014C in the records of the Maricopa County Assessor (the 
"Property") on which District intends to construct and operate a public high 
school ("School"); and 
WHEREAS, the District will apply to the City of Chandler for annexation, but said 
annexation will not occur in a timeframe that will allow the District to commence work on 
the Property when necessary; and 
WHEREAS, the parties to the IGA do desire that the City of Chandler approve, permit 
and inspect the School which will eventually be located in the City; and 
WHEREAS; Maricopa County does not object to the City of Chandler approving, 
permitting and inspecting the School even though the Property is now located in 
unincorporated Maricopa County; and 
WHEREAS, on December 11, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved the IGA, which 
required a specific resolution authorizing the Chairman to execute the IGA. 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Maricopa County Board of 
Supervisors does hereby affirm, ratify and grant to the Chairman of the of the Maricopa 
County Board of Supervisors the authority to execute, on behalf of Maricopa County, 
IGA number C-44-20-046-M-00 approved by the Board of Supervisors on December 11, 
2019 among Maricopa County, the City of Chandler and the Chandler Unified School 
District No, 80.
