AMENDMENT TO EXTEND
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BY AND BETWEEN
STATE OF ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
AND
MARICOPA COUNTY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
This Agreement amends Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) DPS Contract No. 2016-
110-A, which is between the State of Arizona Department of Public Safety (ADPS) and the
Maricopa County Attorney's Office ("MCAO") for the testing of Sexual Assault Kits funded by
a grant from the Office of the District Attorney of New York County, State of New York.
1. This agreement amends the IGA and its April 28, 2017 amendment from the original
language stating that this is an agreement “between the State of Arizona Department of
Public Safety (ADPS) and Maricopa County, by and through the Maricopa County
Attorney's Office ("MCAO")” to “this agreement is between the State of Arizona
Department of Public Safety (ADPS) and the Maricopa County Attorney's Office
("MCAO").”
2. On October 1, 2018, MCAO received a Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (“SAKI”) grant
from the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (“DOJ”).
3. Section 2.3 is amended to add that MCAO shall submit reports to the DOJ as
contemplated by the SAKI grant agreement.
4. The reporting requirements for DANY as outlined in Section 1.2, 1.5, 2.3, 4.1, 4.3.3 and
Attachment B of the IGA and any amendments shall apply to the DOJ’s SAKI grant. The
reporting on SAKI and DANY shall continue through and including October 10, 2022 on
the schedule outlined in the April 28, 2017 Amendment to Extend the IGA.
5. Unless expressly changed by this Amendment, the terms of the IGA shall continue to
govern the relationship between the parties.
This Amendment to Extend the IGA is hereby entered into effective on date of the last signature
set out below.
