REMARKS (Continued from previous page) This action approves the request to supplement this grant by increasing funding and slot levels resulting from the consolidation of multiple Head Start grant awards. Specifically, this project will absorb the following grant’s annual funding and funded enrollment levels for this consolidation: 09HP000105 which includes Early Head Start annual funding levels of $1,914,829for operations and $43,114 for training and technical assistance, and 96 federal funded slots, effective September 1, 2021. As a result of grant consolidation, adjusted annual funding levels for Head Start are increased to $11,650,165 for operations and $126,164 for training and technical assistance; and Early Head Start annual funding levels are $7,817,093 for operations and $171,347 for training and technical assistance. Adjusted federal funded enrollment levels, approved service area and program options are: Head Start population: 807 children. Designated Head Start service area(s): Maricopa County, Arizona: excluding the City of Phoenix. Approved program option for the Head Start program: Center-based. Early Head Start population: 438 infants, toddlers and pregnant women, of which includes 240 Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership slots. Designated Early Head Start service area(s): East Maricopa County, Arizona; excluding City of Phoenix. Designated Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Service Area: Maricopa County, Arizona, excluding the City of Phoenix. Approved program option(s) for the Early Head Start program: Center-based, Home based. All property (equipment and real property) as well as supplies acquired under grant 09HP000105 must be transferred to this newly consolidated grant. Please ensure records reflect this consolidation. Prorated supplemental funds in the amounts of $1,595,691 for Early Head Start operations; and $35,928 for Early Head Start training and technical assistance are awarded for the period of September 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. This grant action includes funds for the FY2021cost-of living adjustment (COLA) increase for program operations. This grant action also approves a Non-Federal match waiver in the amount of $4,808. The amount of matching funds is now $4,801,914 at 19.81% for the 7/1/2021 – 6/30/2022 budget period.
