Description: 
 
This item proposes to name two currently un-named street alignments located one block east of SR 85 and one 
block south of MC 85.  The location of these streets is within Section 1of T1S, R4W. The East/West alignment 
will be named / changed to W. Allen St. and the North/South alignment will be named / changed to S. 264th Dr. 
the change will affect 14 parcels located along the two street segments, which are all presently addressed as if 
located along MC 85. This presents a public safety and welfare concern regarding E-911 emergency response.

Evaluation: 
 
The naming of streets provides for continuity essential for accurate addressing. In addition, this effort is intended 
to provide efficient emergency services for the safety of the residents of the Maricopa County. In order to 
maintain established and recognized street name alignments, it is necessary to introduce a new street alignment 
at this location. Allen St is being offered for your consideration as the new name for this .3-mile segment and 
264th Dr is being offered as the new name for this .1- mile segment. A map of all affect parcels has been attached 
for your review.   
 
Notification was sent to the property owners of record of the 14 affected parcels. Upon approval by the BOS, 
address changes to the affected parcels will be made as quickly as possible following the normal change of 
address procedures. 
 
The proposed street name was routed to 911, MCSO, APS, USPS, Elections, Assessor, and the Maricopa County 
Emergency Management Department. There are no known objections.
