Chair Brophy McGee was remote ~ BOARD OF SUPERVISORS The Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County, Phoenix, Arizona, convened in Special Session at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in the Supervisors' Auditorium 205 W. Jefferson Phoenix, AZ 85003, with the following members present: Kate Brophy McGee, Chair, District 3 (remote); Debbie Lesko, Vice Chair, District 4; Mark Stewart, Supervisor, District 1 (remote); Thomas Galvin, Supervisor, District 2; Steve Gallardo, Supervisor, District 5 (remote). Also present: Amy Loper, Deputy Clerk; Mia Vargas, Minutes Coordinator (remote); Jen Pokorski, County Manager; Brooke Worcester, Legal Counsel. ACTION 1. APPOINTMENT FOR LEGISLATIVE STATE REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT 3 Pursuant to A.R.S. § 41-1202, receive the names of the three qualified electors as candidates to fill the vacancy for the Legislative District 3 State Representative seat as submitted by the Legislative District 3 Precinct Committeemen and appoint one of the candidates from the list to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of State Representative Joseph Chaplik. The three candidate names submitted by the District are: (C-06-26-277-X-00) George Khalaf Michelle Ugenti-Rita Cody Reim Vice Chair Lesko led the meeting and asked the Deputy Clerk to call roll.
