City of Tolleson 2026 Community Grant Program Funding

PURPOSE: 
The Community Grant Council Subcommittee is requesting the approval of the City of Tolleson 2026 Community 
Grant Program funding recommendations. 
 
BACKGROUND: 
The City of Tolleson Community Grant Program provides direct monetary grants to help nonprofit organizations 
with projects and activities that provide health and human services which improve the quality of life for Tolleson 
residents. Nonprofit 501(C) 3 agencies are also eligible to apply. 
 
DISCUSSION: 
The Community Grant Council Subcommittee reviewed all 22 applications that were submitted and 
recommends funding as follows: 
Angel Babies – $4,687.50 
Cornerstone Community Development Corp. dba Mercy House Community Center – $4,687.50 
Gervonni Cares, Inc. – $4,687.50 
Homeless Youth Connection, Inc. – $4,687.50 
Mitchell Swaback Charities, Inc. dba Harvest Compassion Center – $4,687.50 
Revolution Ministries – $4,687.50 
Teen Lifeline – $4,687.50 
Tolleson Community Coalition – $2,500.00 (Requested Amount) 
Trellis: $4,687.50 
 
BUDGET IMPACT: 
There is $40,000 in the budget for the Community Grant Program for 2026. 
 
RECOMMENDATION: 
The Community Grant Council Subcommittee recommends the City Council approve the City of Tolleson 2026 
Community Grant Program funding recommendations.
