Teacher Appreciation Week 
 
May 5-9, 2025 
 
WHEREAS, teachers are entrusted with the critical responsibility of guiding, inspiring, and 
nurturing the minds of our youth, preparing them to be thoughtful, knowledgeable, and 
compassionate citizens of tomorrow; and 
 
WHEREAS, teachers in the City of Tolleson and throughout the nation dedicate their time, 
talents, and passion to ensure that every student receives a high-quality education and support, 
often going above and beyond the call of duty; and 
 
WHEREAS, teachers play a vital role in shaping the character and future of our community by 
instilling the values of hard work, respect, perseverance, and civic responsibility; and 
 
WHEREAS, during the week of May 5-9, 2025, communities across the United States will 
celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week to recognize and honor the lasting contributions 
of educators at every level; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Tolleson acknowledges the profound and lasting influence of teachers 
and expresses heartfelt gratitude for their dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence 
in education. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Juan F. Rodriguez, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of 
the City of Tolleson, Arizona, do hereby proclaim May 5-9, 2025 as Teacher Appreciation Week 
in the City of Tolleson, encouraging all residents to recognize, thank, and celebrate the educators 
who work tirelessly to support our students, strengthen our schools, and build a better future for
