American Red Cross Month  
 
March 2025 
 
WHEREAS, the American Red Cross has been a humanitarian organization dedicated to 
serving those in need for more than 140 years, founded by Clara Barton to bring aid and relief to 
individuals facing crises and disasters; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Tolleson recognizes the vital role of the American Red Cross and its 
volunteers, donors, and supporters who work tirelessly to provide emergency assistance, disaster 
relief, and education in our community and beyond; and 
 
WHEREAS, the American Red Cross continues to provide lifesaving services, including disaster 
response, blood donations, health and safety training, and support for military members, 
veterans, and their families, ensuring that help is available when it is needed most; and 
 
WHEREAS, the spirit of humanitarianism and volunteerism demonstrated by the American 
Red Cross aligns with the values of the City of Tolleson, and we honor the individuals who give 
their time and resources to aid those in distress; and 
 
WHEREAS, the American Red Cross relies on the support and generosity of the public to carry 
out its mission and continues to be a beacon of hope for those facing emergencies. 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Juan F. Rodriguez, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of 
the City of Tolleson, Arizona, do hereby proclaim March 2025 as American Red Cross Month in 
the City of Tolleson and encourage all residents to recognize the invaluable work of the American
