PROCLAMATION

REDEDICATE250 DAY

WHEREAS, the United States of America is approaching its 250th anniversary, a historic milestone
that invites reflection on our nation's founding principles and enduring heritage; and

WHEREAS, throughout our nation's history, faith, gratitude, and national unity have served as
foundational pillars for our communities and our country; and

WHEREAS, a national prayer gathering is scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., on May 17,
2026, aimed at reflecting on our nation's faith heritage and rededicating the United States as "one
nation under God"; and

WHEREAS, this national event is designed to bring together Americans from across the country
for a day of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving as part of the broader 250th anniversary celebrations;
and

WHEREAS, the Rededicate250 committee, a dedicated group of community volunteers, has
organized a local gathering in Fountain Hills on May 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM to join in solidarity with
this national observance and foster unity within our own community.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that |, Gerry M. Friedel, Mayor of the Town of Fountain Hills,
Arizona, do hereby proclaim May 17, 2026, as

REDEDICATE250 DAY

in the Town of Fountain Hills, and | encourage all citizens to recognize the efforts of our community
volunteers and to observe this day with reflection, gratitude, and a spirit of national and local unity.
