OF THE STRATEGIC PLANNING ADVISORY COMMISSION 
FEBRUARY 25, 2026 
 
1. CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 
Vice Chairman Geoff Yazzetta called to order the meeting of the Strategic Planning 
Advisory Commission at 4:00 p.m.

5. SUMMARY OF CURRENT EVENTS BY DIRECTOR 
 
TRIMBLE: Reported that the Town began the budget season with a work session and 
budget retreat held the previous day. The retreat lasted most of the day and is available 
online for anyone interested in viewing. The Town will now begin the remainder of the 
budget process.

a. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: Approval of the Minutes from the 
Regular Meeting Held on January 28, 2026. 
 
MOVED BY Commissioner Polly Bonnett to APPROVE the Minutes of the Regular 
Meeting Held on January 28, 2026, of the Strategic Planning Advisory 
Commission Meeting, SECONDED BY Commissioner Joseph Reyes 
Vote: 5–0 | motion passed unanimously

9. REGULAR AGENDA 
a. DISCUSSION: Discussion and Planning for the Strategic Planning Advisory Commission 
Guided Workshops. 
YAZZETTA: Noted that the meeting would focus on discussion and planning for the 
Strategic Planning Advisory Commission guided workshops, as there was no director 
presentation scheduled. An outreach workshop will be held on Saturday, April 4 at the 
Community Center, with information to be distributed to members and shared with the 
community. This will be the third year the Town has hosted outreach workshops there, 
which have had strong attendance. A second workshop is also planned at the Fountain 
Hills Unified School District Learning Center to help reach a broader audience. Further 
details will be provided. 
b. UPDATE: from the Commission Work Groups

c. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: Consideration of Future Agenda Items Pertaining 
to the Strategic Plan.

PADGETT-ESPIRITU: Clarified the process for adding future agenda items, noting that 
items may be unrelated to the Strategic Plan but must be supported by at least two 
commissioners. Once supported, the item can be placed on a future meeting agenda.

25 ,2026, of the Strategic Planning Advisory Commission, SECONDED BY Commissioner 
Polly Bonnett.
