Letter from River of Time Board of Directors 2.3.2026

Dear Ms. Jacobs,

The River of Time Museum and Exploration Center kindly requests a letter from the Town of
Fountain Hills outlining the nonrenewal terms of the Museum’s lease. We would like to
know the process used in determining the fair market rental value of our lease. Just what
type of properties were we compared to in determining this rental cost? We are requesting
the opportunity to negotiate with the Town a short-term funding plan to keep the Museum
open for one year in order to afford our board, staff, volunteers and supporters the time
needed to explore alternative and creative options for the continued operations and growth
of the Museum.

We are now conducting a community fund drive to sustain our museum as we prepare in
the coming year to develop a design meeting the needs of both the Town and the Museum
in order to continue attracting people to Fountain Hills and continue serving the public as a
community museum.
