PROCLAMATION

Recognizing International Sister City Relationships and Honoring Italian Culture

WHEREAS, the Town of Fountain Hills values global friendship, cultural exchange, and
educational partnerships through its international Sister Cities; and

WHEREAS, Ataco, El Salvador shares with Fountain Hills its vibrant Salvadoran heritage
and the richness of the Spanish language; and

WHEREAS, Dierdorf, Germany strengthens our connection to European traditions and
highlights the influence of the German language in culture, music, and civic life; and

WHEREAS, Zamosc¢, Poland brings the beauty of Polish history, architecture, and the
enduring strength of the Polish language, symbolizing resilience and cultural pride; and

WHEREAS, Italy shares the richness of its history, architecture, and vibrant Italian
language, reflecting enduring creativity and cultural pride; and

WHEREAS, these global relationships and cultural connections enrich Fountain Hills by
fostering goodwill, international understanding, and shared cultural appreciation.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gerry M. Friedel, Mayor of the Town of Fountain Hills, together with
the Town Council, do hereby proclaim:

That the Town of Fountain Hills proudly recognizes its international Sister Cities and Italy,
celebrating the culture, heritage, and language each contributes to our community, and
emphasizing their essential importance in shaping our town’s cultural identity, global
outreach, and shared community values.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Town of
Fountain Hills, Arizona to be affixed this 16" day of December 2025.
