Vikram Khandelwal, the owner of the property, is planning site improvements that will encroach into the existing easement. Staff have reviewed the site to evaluate the potential on-site drainage issues and the Town's overall interest in the easement. There is no necessity for the Town to retain the drainage easement proposed for abandonment, given that the owner of the lot is required to allow the developed flows from upstream lots to pass across their property. All public utilities have approved the abandonment of this easement.
