Airport Development Committee Charter

Wickenburg Airport Development Advisory Committee Charter 
 
The Airport Development Advisory Committee (ADAC) is hereby established under the 
authority of the Office of Town Manager as follows:  
 
A. The ADAC shall consist of not more than 10 members, who will be appointed by 
the Town Manager 
B. The appointment of the ADAC shall be for a period of no more than six months 
and the committee is established as an ad hoc appointment 
C. The committee will end when it makes its final recommendations to the Economic 
Development and Transportation Committee and/or the Town Council, unless the 
term is extended by the Town Manager for a specific purpose 
D. The committee shall be chaired by Mr. Craig Froter, the assigned liaison to the 
Airport from the Economic Development and Transportation Committee. The 
Chair shall have the authority to appoint a Vice Chair of the ADAC  
E. Persons interested in serving on the ADAC shall complete an application. The 
town desires committee members who have a background in aviation; or airport 
construction, operations, or management;  or are pilots who are familiar with the 
Wickenburg Airport; or are current business owners on airport property; or are 
employed by a governmental agency or association serving in the capacity of 
airport advisory or oversight roles; or residents who live immediately adjacent to 
the Wickenburg Airport;  
 
The scope of the Airport Development Advisory Committee is hereby established to 
include:  
 
A. Meet and confer to learn details of the 2014 Airport Masterplan, the recent 
request for proposal for master development, and the selected proposer, 
identified as the town’s consultant. 
B. Hold public meetings, committee meetings, and meetings with town staff and its 
consultants to receive technical information and research to assist in 
deliberations.  
C. Work with town staff and its consultant to recommend priority development 
projects at the Wickenburg Airport; the committee is not responsible for, nor does 
it have the authority to dictate design development plans or phases 
D. Strive to consider citizen input, research, and information provided by town staff 
and its consultants in the formulation of recommendations.  
E. Provide detailed, prioritized recommendations to the Economic Development and 
Transportation Committee for development at the Wickenburg Airport 
F. Meet as required to complete Committee’s tasks  
 
The Town of Wickenburg and Town staff are authorized to take such other actions as 
are necessary to support this ad hoc committee.
