Thrift Shop Expansion

ESTABLISHED IN 2004
The Humane Society of Wickenburg is a 501(c)3 
nonprofit organization who operates a no-kill 
animal shelter, temporarily housing owner 
surrendered and stray dogs and cats and provides 
animal related services and programs to residents 
in the community.

AniMeals
Our home delivered pet meal program 
for pets of homebound owners – like 
“meals-on-wheels” for pets. This 
program serves pets within a 30-mile 
service area from Morristown, 
Congress, to Forepaugh. We also 
partner with the Wickenburg Senior 
Center who we pre-package pet 
meals for delivery on their home 
delivered meals routes.  
Finding Forever Homes
Each animal is medically evaluated 
and receives necessary medical 
attention, tested for diseases, receives 
age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed 
or neutered, groomed if necessary, 
and placed for adoption through 
comprehensive adoption practices.  
OUR SERVICES
Homeless Pets & Strays
Pets of owners who suffer from 
unfortunate lifestyle changes and can 
no longer care for them and animals 
found in the streets or wandering in 
the desert are brought to the shelter to 
be rehomed or reunited with their lost 
owners.
Humane Officer
A staff member dedicated to the 
welfare of animals in our community.  
The Humane Officer responds to calls 
for service related to dogs at large, 
injured stray animals, welfare checks 
on animals, and facilitates our Feral 
Cat Program.
AniMobile
Our Shuttle Services for Animals 
program provides transportation for 
ambulatory owners who no longer 
drive to veterinary or grooming 
appointments and trips to the dog 
park.
Low Cost Veterinary Services
Our “Mackie Medical Center” – a 
surgical suite located in the shelter, is 
now serving shelter and public owned 
pets with low-cost veterinary services.  
Our Shelter Veterinarian provides spay 
& neuter surgeries, wellness exams, 
vaccinations, microchipping, and 
treatment for injured animals. We also 
partner with Midwestern University 
Veterinary Program to provide low-cost 
spay & neuter clinics in our community.
