RESOLUTION NO. 2311
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF WICKENBURG, MARICOPA COUNTY, REPEALING
RESOLUTIONS 1570, 1819 AND 2169 AND AUTHORIZING THE TOWN
MANAGER TO ADMINISTRATIVELY DEVELOP, MODIFY AND
APPROVE INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR TOWN VENDORS,
FACILITY RENTALS AND SPECIAL EVENTS
WHEREAS, Town Code, Article 4-4 Purchasing, Section 4-4-8 Quotation or Bid
Requirements, § (G), authorizes the Town to set insurance requirements for all businesses
performing services on town-owned property.
WHEREAS, Town Code, Article 9-3 Special Events Permit, Section 9-3-4 Conditions §
(K), permits the Town to set insurance requirements on a case by case basis, based on
recommendations from the Arizona Municipal Risk Retention Pool for any special event or
facility rental.
WHEREAS, Town Code, Article 9-4 Mobile Merchants, Section 9-4-5 Operational
Requirements § (G), permits the Town to require a mobile merchant to name the town as an
additional insured if they are at a town event or on property owned by the town including the
rights-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WICKENBURG, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. This resolution repeals Resolution 1570 for insurance requirements when
utilizing Town of Wickenburg facilities. Repeals Resolution 1819 for insurance requirements for all
businesses performing services on Town-owned property and Resolution 2169 amended those
insurance requirements.
SECTION 2. Authorize the Town Manager to administratively develop, modify and approve
new insurance requirements for town vendors, facility rentals and special events.
SECTION 3. The various Town officers and employees are authorized and directed to
perform all acts necessary or desirable to give effect to this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
WICKENBURG, ARIZONA THIS 19th DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2022.
