The Town of Wickenburg Adopt-A-Park program is for town residents who are interested in
preserving and maintaining our wonderful Park system. The program is authorized by the Town of
Wickenburg and is implemented by the Town of Wickenburg Parks and Trails Advisory Committee
in conjunction with relevant Town staff.

Who Can Adopt a Park?
To implement the Adopt-a-Park program, the Town works with Partner Organizations.
Partner Organizations could be:
•
Neighborhood Associations
•
Schools (or groups in a school)
•
Senior Citizens
•
Scouts

•
Business Community Groups
•
Non-Profit Organizations
•

This volunteer program provides opportunities for Partner Organization members to assist Park
staff and help keep Parks safe, clean, and attractive. Under the supervision of the Adopt-a-Park
Committee, Partner Organizations “adopt” a Park or section of a Park and agree to complete
certain service projects for a year.
The Adopt-a-Park Committee is made up of two members of the Town of Wickenburg Parks and
Trails Advisory Committee and one member from the Partner Organization.
Responsibilities
Adopt-a-Park Partner Organizations must commit to:
•
Three day long or half-day long events per year, such as a clean-up day, maintenance day, or
special project day
•
One person to be on the Adopt-a-Park Committee as liaison to the Partner Organization
