RESOLUTION NO. 2378
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF WICKENBURG, COUNTIES OF MARICOPA AND YAVAPAI,
STATE OF ARIZONA, ADOPTING THE PRIMARY PROPERTY TAX
LEVY AND RATE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL OF CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the Town of Wickenburg's proposed primary property tax levy for fiscal year 2025-
26, excluding amounts that are attributable to new construction, is greater than the amount levied by the
Town of Wickenburg in the preceding fiscal year; and,
WHEREAS, the Town of Wickenburg intends to set the primary property tax rate to .3997; and,
WHEREAS, the Town of Wickenburg held a public hearing on the Final Budget including the
Property Tax Levy at a Regular Council meeting on July 7, 2025 at 155 North Tegner Street, Wickenburg,
Arizona 85390; and,
WHEREAS, the Counties of Maricopa and Yavapai are the assessing and collecting authorities
for the Town of Wickenburg; and,
WHEREAS, this Resolution is in compliance with A.R.S. §42-17151.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF WICKENBURG, ARIZONA:
Section 1:  That the Town of Wickenburg’s primary property tax levy for fiscal year 2025-26 shall be
$615,000 resulting in a tax rate of $0.3997 per $100 of assessed value of all real property, within the
corporate limits of the Town of Wickenburg, except such property as may be by law exempt from
taxation, a primary property tax rate, for general and administrative expenses of the Town of
Wickenburg.  Said figure subject to change only if a court decision were to reduce the net assessed
valuation in a significant manner.
Section 2:  Failure by the County officials of Maricopa and Yavapai County, Arizona, to properly return the
delinquent list, any irregularity in assessments or omissions in the same, or any irregularity in any
proceedings shall not invalidate such proceedings or invalidate any title conveyed by any tax deed;
failure or neglect of any officer or officers to timely perform any of the duties assigned to him or them
shall not invalidate any proceedings or any deed or sale pursuant thereto, the validity of the
assessment or levy of taxes or of the judgment of sale by which the collection of the same may be
enforced shall not affect the lien of the Town of Wickenburg upon such property for the delinquent taxes
unpaid thereon; overcharge as to part of the taxes or of costs shall not invalidate any proceedings for
the collection of taxes or the foreclosure of the lien therefore or a sale of the property under such
foreclosure; and all acts of officers de facto shall be valid as if performed by officers de jure.
Section 3:  All Resolutions and parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Resolution are
hereby repealed.
Section 4:  If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Resolution, is for any
reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.
Section 5:  The immediate operation of the provisions of this Resolution is necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety of the Town and an emergency is hereby declared to exist.  This
Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, adoption and approval by the
Common Council of the Town.
