This enhancement will allow for extended seasonal use of the pool from March through October, with modified hours during the non-peak season. 3. Discussion and Action on whether the Community Programming Committee should look at ways to cover the cost for all children to attend the pool for free each summer Manager Brown provided a recap of the previous discussion. At the last meeting, a suggestion was made to offer free summer pool passes to all children residing in Wickenburg, potentially through a fundraiser where local businesses, individuals, and organizations would sponsor individual passes. After further discussion, the committee agreed that a more effective approach would be to invite them to sponsor community swim days instead. In return, these sponsors would be recognized through local media and social media platforms. Manager Brown will select two or three committee members to collaborate on a proposal to bring back for review at a future meeting. 4. Discussion and Action to create a community survey to gather feedback on program needs, preferences, and priorities. Manager Brown expressed interest in conducting a more targeted survey to better understand the community’s programming needs and preferences. She suggested that this committee, or a few individual members, take the lead in drafting potential survey questions. She also noted that the Polco system, a nationally recognized survey platform, offers templates that can serve as a starting point for developing the survey. E. NEXT MEETING DATE – July 2, 2025 F.
