Four (4) bids were received and are shown in the attached bid tabulation. The bids were reviewed for math errors, bid bonds, addenda acknowledgement and verification of federal disbarment. All four (4) bids appear to be responsive. A total of 32 potential bidders were sent the Invitation for Bids. A total of eight (8) sets of plans and specifications were purchased by potential bidders, plan rooms, and suppliers. A 30-day bid period was established for this project. The advertisement for bids for the project was published for two (2) consecutive weeks as part of the bid period. A pre-bid conference was held onsite to answer questions and show the project to potential bidders. Based on conversations with FAA ADO staff, it is believed that sufficient funds are available for the budget listed below via an IIJA-AIG and a companion AIP grant. The grant applications are enclosed with this letter that incorporates the recommended bidders proposed cost at a 95% FAA share. The grant applications should be signed and forwarded to the FAA as soon as possible. Our recommendation is to award Schedule I and Bid Additive 1 to Desert Services International, Inc. for a total contract amount of $883,090.00 upon receiving concurrence from the FAA Program Manager and receipt of the FAA Grant Agreements. 2 The following budget needs to be developed for grant No. 3-04-0048-030-2025 & 031-2025. The Engineering Services and Construction Services items are per our executed scope of work. The Sponsor Administration item covers the cost for advertising the project to get bid proposals from the contractors and for the independent fee review of our fee.
