In order to protect the beauty and biology of our Sonoran Desert surroundings, to provide recreational opportunites in city parks and outdoors, and to act as a liason between the Town Council, the Parks and Trails Advisory Committee, and the public. 4) What brought you to Wickenburg? What other organizations in Wickenburg do you volunteer at? My love of the desert, wide open spaces, and small town living with its blue skies and less traffic. | also volunteer as a member of the Wickenburg Conservation Foundation. 5) Is there any additional information that you think would be helpful for the Council to know when making a selection for members? | am retired from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and have many years of professional experience in natural resource management and conservation. My experience in cycling, hiking, and tennis—as well as years playing and coaching sports—gives me a strong understanding of the value of quality parks and trails. I'd love to contribute my energy and ideas to help enhance Wickenburg’s recreation spaces. 2) What motivated you to apply for this specific committee? 'm motivated by a desire to help make Wickenburg’s parks and trails safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. I'm especially passionate about improving cycling and pedestrian safety and creating more connected routes for outdoor recreation. What other organizations in Wickenburg do you volunteer at? | came to Wickenburg to teach Physical Education at Vulture Peak Middle School and to be part of a town that values outdoor living and community spirit. Though |’m still new here, I'm eager to get more involved. In the future, | hope to support youth sports —possibly through a school mountain bike team or by promoting tennis and pickleball programs. 5) ts there any additional information that you think would be helpful for the Council to know when making a selection for members? | bring experience as a teacher, coach, and lifelong outdoor enthusiast who values teamwork, integrity, and community.
