RESOLUTION NO. 2391
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
WICKENBURG, ARIZONA, ADOPTING AN ANNEXATION STRATEGY
AS SHOWN ON EXHIBIT A; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
TOWN MANAGER, OR THEIR DULY AUTHORIZED AGENTS TO
CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES AND INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Town Council approved a General Plan on September 3, 2024,
that provided goals and visions of the town’s future; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Strategy and improved policy was one of the goals of
the General Plan; and,
WHEREAS, consideration of annexation strategies assists the town in managing
growth in areas adjacent to the town’s boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the town has the capacity to evaluate and plan for the provisions of
municipal services, including police, fire protection, utilities, and other public services, to
areas that may be annexed; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WICKENBURG, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That an Annexation Strategy has been created pursuant to the goals
and objectives of the General Plan. The Annexation Strategy as shown in Exhibit A, be
hereby approved. The Town Manager or their duly authorized officers and agents are
hereby authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to carry out the purposes and
intent of this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of
Wickenburg, Arizona this 16th day of March 2026.
