PROCLAMATION
Arbor Day 2026

the Town of Wickenburg is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all
residents through effective governance and the efficient delivery of public
services; and

trees provide numerous benefits to the community, including cleaner air,
shade, lower energy costs, and enhanced aesthetic beauty, contributing
to a healthier and more sustainable environment; and

Wickenburg takes pride in its designation as a Tree City, USA, reflecting
the town’s dedication to environmenta! stewardship and its appeal as a
desirable place to live and conduct business, and

The State of Arizona recognizes the last Friday of April as the official Arbor
Day of Arizona, and has designated it as such in order for members of the

community to have a greater understanding of the importance of trees and

their impact on our health and wellbeing; and

the State of Arizona recognizes the last Friday of April as Arbor Day,
encouraging communities to understand the significance of trees and
their positive impact on health and well-being, and Arbor Day serves as
an important opportunity to inspire people to plant, nurture, and
celebrate trees.

Now, therefore, |, BG Bratcher, Mayor of the Town of Wickenburg, Arizona, do

hereby proclaim Friday, April 24, 2026:
