Town of Wickenburg
PROCLAMATION

National Police Week
May 10-16, 2026

WHEREAS, Congress and the President of the United States have designated May
154 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as
“National Police Week", and

WHEREAS, Wickenburg Police Officers put their lives on the line every day to protect
our citizens and that the members of our law enforcement agency recognize their duty to

serve the people by safeguarding life and property, and by protecting them against violence
and disorder, and

WHEREAS, the men and women of the law enforcement agency of the Town of
Wickenburg unceasingly provide a vital public service, and

WHEREAS, the Town of Wickenburg and its citizens join to honor our current law
enforcement officers for their dedication to the safety of our community, and we pay tribute
to and honor all the law enforcement officers who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

NOW THEREFORE, |, BG Bratcher, Mayor of the Town of Wickenburg, do hereby
proclaim May 10-16, 2026 as National Police Week and publicly salute the service of law
enforcement officers in our community and in communities across the nation.

IN WITNESS WHERE OF, | have hereunto set and caused the seal of the Town of
Wickenburg, Arizona, to be affixed on this 4" day of May 2026.
