RESOLUTION NO. 2397
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
WICKENBURG, COUNTIES OF MARICOPA AND YAVAPAI, STATE OF ARIZONA,
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Title 42, Chapter 17, Articles 1-5, Arizona Revised
Statutes (A.R.S.) and Amendments thereto, the Wickenburg Common Council did approve the Tentative Budget on
May 4, 2026, thereby making an estimate of the different amounts required to meet the public expenditures for the
ensuing year, an estimate of revenues from sources other than direct taxation, and the amount to be raised by
taxation upon real and personal property within the Town of Wickenburg; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with said chapter of said title, and following due public notice as required by
law, publicized on May 13th, May 20th and May 27th, 2026, of said estimates for the Final Budget, the Common Council
met on June 1, 2026, at which meeting any taxpayer was privileged to appear and be heard in favor of or against any
of the proposed expenditures or tax levies, and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with said Chapter of said Title, the Common Council convened into a Special
Meeting on June 1, 2026, and,
WHEREAS, it appears that the sums to be raised by taxation as specified therein, do not in the aggregate
exceed that amount for primary property taxes as computed in A.R.S §42-17051 (A).
WHEREAS, purchases greater than $50,000 that were approved in the annual budget and specifically
identified in Exhibit B shall be deemed approved pursuant to Section 4-4-2 of the Wickenburg Town Code and require
no further approval by Town Council with the Town Manager being expressly authorized to review and approve all
bids and proposals in accordance with the approved budget and to execute all contract documents necessary and
appropriate to complete the purchase (Exhibit B).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of Wickenburg,
Counties of Maricopa and Yavapai, State of Arizona, that the said estimates of revenue and expenditures shown on
the accompanying schedules, as now increased, reduced, or changed, are hereby adopted as the Final Budget of
the Town of Wickenburg for Fiscal Year 2026-27 in the amount of $86,450,175 with an Expenditure Limitation of
$66,901,115.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the tax rate will be set at a Council
Meeting of July 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., 155 North Tegner Street, Wickenburg, Arizona 85390.
