RESOLUTION R26-06-11
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
MIRAGE, MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, APPROVING AND
ADOPTING THE SPENDING LIMITATION AND BUDGET FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2026–27.
WHEREAS, in accordance with provisions of Arizona Revised Statutes, Title
42, Sections 42-17101 through 42-17110, inclusive, the City Council did make and
approve tentative estimates of the different amounts required to meet the public
expenditures for the ensuing year, an estimate of revenues from sources other than
direct taxation, and the amount to be raised by taxation upon real and personal
property of the City of El Mirage; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with A.R.S. §§ 42-17103 and 42-17104, on the
15th of May and the 22nd of May 2026, the City published in the Daily Independent
the tentative estimates of expenditures and revenues approved by the City Council
on the 5th of May 2026; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with A.R.S. §§ 42-17104 and 42-17108, the Council
of the City of El Mirage will hold a special meeting and public meeting on June 2,
2026 at 6:00 p.m., in the El Mirage City Council Chambers at 10000 N. El Mirage
Road, El Mirage, Arizona, and that all interested citizens are invited to attend and
are afforded the right to be heard in favor or against the proposed expenditures, tax
levy and tax increase; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the sums to be raised by taxation, as specified
therein, do not in the aggregate exceed that amount as computed in A.R.S. §42-
17051(A),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the estimates of revenues and
expenditures shown on the accompanying schedules are hereby adopted as the
budget for the City of El Mirage for Fiscal Year 2026–2027.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and City Council of El Mirage this 2nd
day of June 2026.
