Dec. 2, 2025

Agenda Item 2 – Approve Sep. 23 Meeting Minutes 
Councilmember Amberg motioned to approve minutes. Minutes approved 2-0. 
 
 
Agenda Item 3 – Senior Community Survey Results 
Megan Wilson, Community Health and Human Services Coordinator and Camden Sahlinger, 
Coordinator, reviewed the results of the online AARP survey that was active between Sep. 1 
through Oct. 16 and the five in-person listening sessions. There were 317 responses and 49 
attendees at the listening sessions. Participants age-range was 50 – 94 years old. Strengths of 
the survey highlighted volunteer opportunities in the community and accessibility of online 
information. Other areas of strength are found in providing safe spaces for seniors and 
transportation. Growth areas include building more awareness for senior centers and resources 
and improving communication intended for seniors. Other areas of opportunity are improving 
workforce outcomes and affordable and accessible housing options. 
 
 
Agenda Item 4 – Action Team Initial Priorities and Input from Subcommittee 
Mary Mezey, Deputy Community Health and Human Services Director, provided an overview of 
the Action Team’s initial priorities for the updated plan that are aligned with the AARP 
framework. Expanding housing vouchers and addressing financial security concerns that impact 
housing stability, expanding workforce pathways were cited. Next steps are to synthesize the 
subcommittee and action team priorities, develop goals and objectives for each priority, and 
present this draft plan to the subcommittee.

AARP Livability Index.
