REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION

ACTION:  Approve one-year contract renewals with Greenberg Traurig, LLP and Squire Patton Boggs, 
LLP for the purchase of bond counsel services.
FISCAL IMPACT:  The total cost of these contracts shall not exceed $175,000. Sufficient funds have 
been appropriated in the General Obligation Debt Service Fund, Cost Center 4134 (Policy & 
Management FD52), and in the Water/Wastewater Fund, Cost Center 4141 (Fund 31 Debt Services), 
for the anticipated expenditures in the current fiscal year and next fiscal year, contingent upon City 
Council approval of the City’s annual budget.
RECOMMENDATION:  Approve the contract renewals.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  (T22-094-01, 02) City Council originally approved the contract 
awards on April 28, 2022, for an initial two-year period with three, one-year renewal options. This 
renewal request is for the third and final of three available renewal options. These contractors assist the 
City with bond, tax, disclosure, and securities law services to support the City’s bond financing program 
under the direction of the Financial Services Department.
