CITY OF TEMPE Meeting Date: 3/5/2026 REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item: 8A7 ACTION: Award a Job Order No. 16 to Chasse Building Team, Inc., for Project No. 6708281M - Interior Space Planning and Design - BEAM. FISCAL IMPACT: The job order amount is $2,960,755.90 and the contingency is $320,000. Funds to cover this job order, related costs and any future addenda are appropriated in Fiscal Year 2025/26 and future years, contingent upon City Council approval of the City’s annual budget, in Capital Improvement Project No. 6711529 (BEAM). RECOMMENDATION: Award contract BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This contract will construct two tenant spaces: an 11,000 square foot Financial Services and Auditing space and 4,650 square feet of future tenant space. These tenant improvements will create a new workspace model for the City of Tempe, including modern Audio-Visual Systems, natural light and views for all occupants, with shared work areas that support hybrid work schedules and wellness spaces. The construction includes a lobby, conference rooms, private offices, open offices, copy/work rooms, break area and kitchen, wellness/mother’s room and support spaces. This contract is for construction services. Scope of Work: New finishes including, flooring, wall coverings and coatings, ceiling treatments, casework and millwork. New HVAC system and distribution that ties into the existing chilled water loop. New plumbing systems. New electrical and lighting systems - LED lighting and power. New special systems - AV, structured cabling, security systems and Wireless Access Points. New active and passive acoustic control systems. Modification to existing fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems.
