OVERVIEW:  
At its January 14, 2026, meeting, the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) requested that the 
Historic Preservation Officer (HPO) provide answers to queries about Double Butte Cemetery, the 
Hayden Flour Mill, the Gonzales-Martinez House, recent City efforts to acquire historic buildings, and 
2024 bond funding for historic preservation-related activities. The HPO will address these questions at 
the March 11, 2026, HPC meeting.
